What this directory is

This guide lists 78 assisted living facility businesses serving Greater Hartford and the surrounding towns. It exists for families and caregivers trying to compare options quickly: which communities have strong recent reviews, which are new to the area, and which fit a particular budget or level of care. It is not a paid placement list dressed up as a ranking. Every facility on the site is scored the same way, using the same public information, whether it advertises with us or not.

How listings get built

Each profile starts from public business records (licensing status, address, levels of care offered, contact details) combined with a synthesis of recent Google reviews. We read the review activity for tone, consistency, and recurring themes, then summarize what we find. We do not copy or republish review text, and we link out to the facility’s Google listing so you can read the original reviews yourself before making a decision.

Listed operators can flag factual errors, an outdated phone number, a closed location, a wrong address, and we correct those quickly. What a facility cannot do is edit its own score, its sentiment summary, or its position in the ranking. That separation is the point: the people being ranked don’t get to grade themselves.

How rankings are earned

Rankings come from a published rubric applied consistently across every listing, not from who spends the most with us. Scores update as new data comes in, so a facility’s position can move over time as reviews and records change.

Where sponsorship fits in

Some facilities choose to sponsor a placement on this site. Sponsored listings are always labelled “Sponsored” and shown in a separate area from the earned ranking. Paying for visibility does not change a facility’s score, its sentiment summary, or where it lands in the ranked list. If you’re looking at the ranked list itself, everything in it earned its spot through the rubric.

Enquiries and referrals

Greater Hartford Assisted Living Assisted Living Facility Guide is an independent directory and comparison resource. We also generate enquiries for local providers: when you ask to be matched, we pass your enquiry to providers relevant to your request, and we may receive a referral fee for that connection. Referral arrangements never affect scores or earned rankings.

Who’s behind it

This site is published by Ondera Media, which runs local business guides across the Greater Hartford area and ranks providers, including memory care facilities, by quality rather than by who pays the most. Every listing draws on published customer reviews and public business records so that accuracy and real-world performance carry the most weight, and the data behind the rankings is refreshed monthly. The goal is to take the guesswork out of finding a trustworthy local provider, whether that’s a memory care community or a plumber.

Editorial oversight of the rankings sits with Nathan Ibrahim, Research Lead, who maintains the rubric and reviews how it’s applied across listings.
